The Russian magnate  Roman Abramovich  took a step to the Aeolian islands, on board with his $ 120 million Pelorus luxury yacht. The world's fourteenth largest  luxury yacht  at 377 feet 3 inches (115 metres) in length, was spotted in the bay of the largest island of the Aeolian islands, facing the castle of Lipari. Roman Abramovich  Pelorus luxury yacht was built at the  Lürssen  yard in Bremen, Germany to the design of Tim Heywood and was launched in 2003. Pelorus luxury yacht has a system for detecting missiles and a mini-submarine. Among its crew numbering 40 people, there are former employees of SAS - British special forces.
